I have a project/commission idea coming up and never painted on shoes before so I borrowed my nephews worn out #airforce1 to try and practice using #angeluspaint to paint these one off shoes in my style. I’m pretty happy with the results it completely refreshed the look of the shoes and gave them a few more years of life. What do you guys think for my first customs?

What an incredible event this was for my wife and

What an incredible event this was for my wife and I. We both learned from industry professionals in their creative disciplines from artists and actors, songwriters and authors, production and filmmaking. The classes and people I met there also left a lasting impression. New friendships were formed that I am looking forward to cultivating. @ellapenaart and @danielhancock222 both passionate about their crafts and eager to move on to use their creative gifting to serve others left me humbled to reconsider what my goals and aspirations are with my own art. Next to Ella @ellapenaart , @theartisticsaint , Collin Rowland and a few other artists I was able to display a couple pieces which was also humbling as their art was so beautiful and incredibly executed. The speakers like @craigdet Dr. Craig Detweiler, Dr. Peterson, and the Krazy Korean(TM) all had what you would truly call the heart of a teacher. It takes a visionary to pull this amount of talent under one event and for this I am thankful to Dr Bill Barnett @drwilliambarnett for having organized this along with the staff of INC. And may I say the grandfathers really showed up buying most of my skate deck proving that you can never be too young to be the delight of you children and grandchildren. Until the next one thank you for a lovely time and All glory to God for the ones he so masterfully created and is still molding.

Medellin the city of eternal spring, never fails t

Medellin the city of eternal spring, never fails to leave me in absolute awe. A city rich in culture and where art is allowed to be easily expressed as it is easy to imagine. The busy city paved with miles of roadways tunnel systems and uniquely designed buildings are intertwined with the nature that is ever present and growing along with the city. Nestled in a valley, Medellin offers a scenic view of the surrounding mountains no matter what activity you choose to do or place you decide to visit. If the residents ever need to escape the busyness of the city, there are nearby pueblos and farm homes locals own to be further surrounded by a biodiverse variety of animals, insects, flowers, rivers and plant life and a quiet I can only imagine exists in the remotest parts of the world. God is incredible! What he created, no man can match. This is my 5th time back to Medellin and every time I go, I see a new area of the city I get to explore. I made time with my family to visit the Museum of Antioquía which has a permanent exhibition of Botero’s work, someone who has inspired me to play with the proportions of my paintings. Before Botero passed away in 2023 he donated his personal collection of artwork from various international artists for the museum to display with the desire that up and coming artists, who weren’t able to travel outside of Colombia, would be inspired from experiencing the works for themselves. His contribution personally left me with a desire to explore other mediums or at the very least, larger works of art.
My last few days there I spent painting with my family on some dedicated walls my niece has to practice on. We illustrated a mural I hope for my family in Colombia to finish on their own time. We watched an international exhibition of folklore and traditional dances in a beautiful small town called El Retiro. It moved me in a way that I can’t express, something deep about my Latin roots in general. I want to attempt to capture some of that in my next paintings as well. I have a busy few months coming up with art events. Lookout for my reels to know where I can get a chance to meet you in person.

Calling this one “Prayer” for my first LØNE skate deck custom art. 1 of 1 will be available when I showcase in the future. The antagonist is lurking around every corner but prayer keeps him shrinking away to his slimy little corner. Our battles are not against other people but against invisible things that cause all kinds of nasty things to happen between each other.

Part 2 my son and I take the board out to get proper grip tape, bearings, and wheels put on. I’ve been impressed with his progression within weeks on it. He has been riding pennys since he could crawl though and up until my deck has been riding garage sale decks. I’ve been working on this skate deck art on and off most of last year while waiting for the funds to come in from the last skate deck sales. You can imagine my delight when I see it for the first time from the manufacturer. It’s such a long process but all worth it when it finally arrives. Before I even moved on from sketching I had the idea that this would be my son’s first official skate board (not from a garage sale). In the next video you’ll see him putting it together.
