Bio

An audience of
ØNE watching

I’m a multidisciplinary designer and artist based in Naples, Florida. Welcome to the site. I’ve been working professionally in corporate settings for the past 13 years. You won’t find my corporate work here, it’s all private (super secret stuff), but you will find a collection of my experimental paintings and projects, illustrations, the occasional ramblings, and me just doing what I love.

About the Artist
My earliest memory of a drawing I can remember creating is of a color pencil drawing on paper where I cut out and pasted Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd from a Looney Tunes coloring book. There was a garden of carrots around Bugs who was chewing on his carrot while Elmer had his rifle “steady” on Bugs. I shared it with my mom and she may have kept it all these years, I don’t know I’ll have to ask her. I must have been less than 5 but like many kids I drew all kinds of cartoons and characters from Sub-Zero, that guy on the cover of Saga Frontier from PS1 game, to my make believe characters including the jellies. I’ve always loved drawing and creating graphics on the computer as soon as I was introduced to it in the late 90’s. Since Highschool I knew I wanted to pursue something in the arts.
I set off on my career in Multimedia design building my discipline in illustration and design. I’ve since had the pleasure of working with multiple clients on a freelance basis and in corporate settings creating branding and marketing assets and leading teams in the creative direction on large scale initiatives for companies such as Avaya, Cisco Systems, T-Mobile, Arthrex globally and local companies and organizations such as Grow Church, Fort Myers Murder Mystery Dinner Train, and Gannet Media.

As I continue to hone my craft and build my skills as an artist and illustrator I hope I can gain your support and friendship as you get to know me as a creative.

About Project LØNE
This is my art project. Project LØNE is about me sharing my work, my quirky side, with everyone through digital and traditional mediums. I’ve kept it to myself long enough. LØNE is both a play on my last name Alonso (it sounds similar to A Lone Soul). The Ø in LØNE represents me not being alone as I am surrounded by my family, my God who dwells in me through the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit, and the group of creatives that I work with daily. It’s a reminder to us as a society that we are not alone, you are not alone, in whatever it is you are dealing with. The ØNE represents the audience I am trying to build being mindful that there are 7 billion people in the world today. Someone is bound to like the art I create. Right? It also serves as a reminder that as I am building an audience that while you all matter to me, there is only one that truly matters to how I lived my life on Earth and how I used the the resources He gave me to manage and the people I left an impact on while I am here.

My art is influenced by my faith, cartoons I watched as a child, video games, and the local art galleries I enjoy visiting in Naples, Miami, and Orlando. I’ve always had a fascination and a romance of graffiti culture, skate culture and of course the arts. My jellyfish tell the story of the emotions we sometimes suppress as people. Jelly fish have no hearts, no brains, no bones, no blood yet they are these beautiful living creatures God created that when gathered together form a BLOOM. They use the currents to travel from place to place carried away by the ebb and flow of the waters similar to the way life and time carries us through the ages. Some are immortal, have crazy long tentacles, no eyes, have eyes, are crazy dangerous, swim upside down etc just all kinds of varieties and colors. My characters are huge, colorful, whimsical, and interact with the jellies as I mix messages of hope, and despair, use symbolism of my faith and the things unseen that occur around us without ever being aware of it. I want to evoke emotion in those who see my art whether good or bad. Hopefully good. My art helps me to stay creative and gives me a way to share the weird unique side of my imagination which in turn helps me stay creative in corporate settings. My dream is to have many gallery showings throughout my life, create murals, and make my art available to all while supporting larger causes such as funding orphanages and missionaries making difference in the world and at a local level.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.

Jellyfish don’t have ears either! I would love to hear from you. If you have any questions feel free to fill out the form below…
